Always something

this is "Little Lee" my grandchildren's first cousin. He is such a sweet boy. His mom and dad have not spoiled him too much. hahaha
He will get a new brother or sister in July. They chose not to know the gender before its birth. I think that is brave.
I had a doctor's appt today. He is manipulating my meds, but otherwise he thinks I am doing good and should be back to normal...soon. I guess whenever I figure out what normal is for me. I still have to have the massive blood work and glucose test next week, but I think I will be okay. I still have some tenderness in my lower left abdomen, but he still thinks things are on track for me to get better, hurrah.
I think Isabella will be visiting for awhile tomorrow. I am going back to school on Thursday. For the last week. hehe.

I worked hard for this

My younger son Jonathan and I at the retirement party for me and another lady. I look fat, but oh, well.
We had a nice reception, got nice gift cards and other gifts. I was tired and only worked that one day last week. I am somewhat better today, but had to cancel a dinner with friends after all. I visited my Dad, and after that, I was just too wiped out to go anywhere else. I am learning that rest is one of the key components in getting better from diverticulitis.
And that is still hard for me to comprehend sometimes. I have been used to pushing on and going on. Turning over another new leaf I guess.

Not much happening

My Dad, at 90, eating a hot dog at Joe's in Easley. That is really his real hair color. He still has a sense of humor. Mostly. haha

Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow.

Okay, I guess it is just not meant for me to put a picture on the blog tonight. I visited Dad just after getting my hair done this afternoon. He was really glad to see me. He said he felt about 15 today. He wanted to know how old he is. I told him that he is 90 and probably feels about 62, and he agreed. Then I told him I am nearly 62 and felt about 90, and he laughed. He thought the 15 remark was quite funny, also. His sense of humor is a good marker to tell how he is doing.
I did do one other thing this afternoon. I got Isabella her "graduation" present. She will graduate from K4 this week. I got her a red and white polka dot swimsuit with a big bow across the bosom. It is so cute. I got the boys swimming trunks. One is black with big red lobsters and the other is navy with Hawaiian (that doesn't look right) hibicus in red and white. They are all cute. I do not need to stop in grandma friendly stores.
At least not when I have a bit of money. haha
I will try to put a picture of Little Lee on soon. Maybe tonight.

From Fairy Land

Yeah right. If you think that title is true, you gotta be outside in the rain.
The kids came by for about 5 minutes yesterday. That was good cause I felt so bad. I would love to have felt like them staying all day, but I was still too sick.
I spent the whole afternoon in the doctor's office today. So his assessments are: diverticulitis (this almost sent me back to my Maker in the late 80's, a bit of lung congestion (read this as broncitis) and dehydration. What a lucky woman am I.
Have a good Tues.

Maybe I am a tiny bit better. I am not so weak as before.
I got a haircut and new style today. I am not so sure I like it that much, but my granddaughter looked at it, said she liked it, and told me, "Don't worry grangran it will grow back." Out of the mouths of babes.

Nothing much to tell.

Looks like it is a good watermelon slice.
I am going to bed soon. At least I stayed up a short while tonight. ha
21 Days and counting. It is so hot. I haven't sent my new addy to my friends on my other site. Maybe I just won't do that at all.
